AI needs more than another web page

You open a page. Search a directory. Read the pricing page. Copy a detail. Paste it into a doc. Ask someone else if it is still true.
That is fine when software is just a place you visit.
But AI agents are different. They do not want another brochure page. They need tools they can call.
That is why Tabflows now has an MCP server.
Tabflows is now callable
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. The plain-English version: it gives AI tools a clean way to talk to Tabflows directly.
Instead of an AI guessing from stale web pages, it can ask Tabflows structured questions:

- What integrations does Tabflows support?
- What workflows does Tabflows help with?
- What would pricing look like for this practice size?

Clinic context has to be specific
Healthcare is full of fuzzy answers.
Ask a generic AI about private practice operations and you usually get the same vague advice:
Automate intake. Improve communication. Reduce admin burden. Use technology.
Technically true. Completely useless.
Private clinics need more specific help.
A DPC in Austin with 700 patients, one physician, one MA, Hint, Spruce, labs, faxes, forms, referrals, follow-ups, and a million little handoffs does not need a generic "use AI" pep talk.
It needs practical context.
The Tabflows MCP server gives AI agents that context.
It exposes the DPC Finder, Tabflows integrations, documented workflows, pricing logic, demo links, site search, and practical DPC calculators through a tool interface AI systems can use.
The record stays the record
This does not replace the clinician. It does not replace the EHR. It does not turn Tabflows into the medical record.
The EHR is still the clinical record.
Tabflows is the operating layer around it: the place where follow-ups, handoffs, forms, faxes, patient requests, and admin work can keep moving.
The MCP server makes that operating layer easier for AI agents to understand.
Better questions, fewer stale answers
The web made information readable by humans.
MCP makes useful systems callable by AI.
Private healthcare is going to need more of that.
Because the future of clinic work is not "AI writes a paragraph about your practice." It is being able to ask practical questions in one place: find the clinics like mine, show the workflows that save staff time, estimate what this would cost, check whether my DPC model works, and pull the right context before I make a decision.
