Create and share an Artifact link

Before you start

Any team member with Artifact access can create, edit, or open clinic Artifacts. The recipient must sign in to Tabflows and belong to the same clinic.

Create an Artifact

  1. Open Artifacts in Tabflows.
  2. Select New artifact.
  3. Add a clear title.
  4. Add an optional description.
  5. Add the notes the recipient needs.
  6. Attach any supporting files.
  7. Review the Artifact and save it.

Supported attachments include PDF, images, Word, Excel, CSV, and Markdown files up to 25 MB each.

Use only the information the intended recipient needs.

Select Copy link from the Artifact page or the Artifacts list.

Send the copied link to the intended teammate. The recipient is asked to sign in before the protected content opens.

Messaging previews do not display the Artifact’s title, description, notes, or attachments.

Artifact links are protected clinic links, not public file links. Sign in with a Tabflows account that belongs to the same clinic as the Artifact. Any member of that clinic can read an Artifact from its link.

Listing, creating, and editing Artifacts still require Artifact access. A clinic member without that access can open a received link in read-only mode; on desktop they can copy the link but cannot edit it.

On a touch phone, an Artifact opens as a reader: Copy link and Edit are hidden, an edit-form link opens the reader instead, and the Tabflows logo returns to the main workspace. A narrow desktop window keeps the desktop toolbar and editing permissions.

The short share link does not expose the Artifact title, description, notes, or files before sign-in.

Manage existing Artifacts

The Artifacts list shows the title, description, link, and relevant dates.

Sort by Created or Last updated when you need to find recent work. Open an existing Artifact to review or update its title, description, notes, or files, then save the changes.

This guide does not promise deletion or link revocation. Removing a message containing the link does not revoke access.

Find, create, update, and follow up from an Artifact with Sidekick

Sidekick can help recover and maintain durable clinic material.

  • Ask Sidekick to find an Artifact using words from its title or content, or its creation date.
  • Give Sidekick an Artifact link or ID when you want it to read a specific Artifact.
  • Ask Sidekick to create a new Artifact when the work needs a new durable result.
  • Say update this Artifact and provide its link or ID when you want the existing Artifact changed in place instead of creating a duplicate.

Review the returned Artifact link before sharing it or relying on the result.

In Team Chat, choose an Artifact from the composer or paste its link. The message sends an Artifact card. Existing access rules still apply; a teammate without access sees an unavailable card rather than protected content.

Review linked Tasks beside an Artifact

Some Artifacts include Tasks connected to the work that produced the report.

  • On a wide screen, linked Tasks appear beside the Artifact.
  • On a narrower screen, select Tasks (n) to open the Task drawer.
  • Open a Task card to review its owner, status, checklist, and comments.
  • Comments update the linked Task, not the Artifact report.
  • Existing Task access rules still apply; only linked Tasks visible to the signed-in person appear.
  • If no Tasks control appears, there is no visible linked Task for the current viewer. The Artifact can still be read under its existing access rules.

The person opening the link must be signed in to Tabflows and belong to the same clinic.

Make sure both people are using the latest version of Tabflows and refresh the page. If the link still will not open, contact Tabflows Support.
