How to use Sidekick for patient summaries and visit prep
On this page
Build a useful visit-prep summary
- Connect the correct patient.
- Confirm the expected patient sources are available and fresh.
- Ask for the time period and output format you need.
- Review the summary against the chart.
- Ask a follow-up for missing detail or a shorter format.
Choose the format that fits the visit
Ask for:
- A one-screen briefing.
- A chronological recap of the last three visits.
- A problem-oriented summary.
- A SOAP-lite preview.
- A list of unresolved follow-up items.
- A checklist of questions to confirm during the visit.
Review before the visit
Confirm:
- The patient and date range are correct.
- Medication and lab details match the source records.
- Important events are not missing because a system was stale or unavailable.
- Suggested questions are clinically appropriate.
- The summary does not overstate an uncertain inference.
