## The situation

A patient mentions a lab result they are worried about, so you go find it in Quest. They ask about a refill, so you open your Rx tool. They want to send you an update next week, so you check your messaging app for anything they sent earlier. Each lookup takes your eyes off the patient, and they feel it.

DPC promises longer, more personal visits. If half of a 30-minute appointment goes to finding information, the patient gets a 15-minute visit and 15 minutes of you looking at a screen.

## Steps

1. **Link the patient across your systems once** Open the patient in Elation, use Tabflows to open the matched profile in Spruce and in Quest (Quanum), confirm it is the same person and select the link icon. The system button turns dark blue, and anyone on your team can open that profile in one click from then on.
2. **Prep before the patient sits down** Select Click for AI Patient Summary on the Elation chart, then ask Sidekick which labs and messages are new since the last visit. With Tasks open in the side panel, choose All active tasks from the dropdown beside the patient's name to see what is already open for them.
3. **Answer questions without leaving the chart** When the patient asks about a result, ask Sidekick to show the trend with dates and values, and open Mini if you want it floating over the chart. When you need the full report, select the Quest (Quanum) system button to open their profile there.
4. **Handle requests while the patient is there** For a question about last month's referral, ask Sidekick what their Spruce message history says, and for a refill, send it from the Elation chart while you keep talking. Anything that truly needs work after the visit goes on a Task from the patient-page Task button, so the patient is already attached.
5. **Close the note before the next patient** Your scribe has a draft by the time the visit ends. Review it, make your edits in Elation and close the encounter, so nothing from this visit waits until the end of the day.

## The outcome

Your eyes stay on the patient, not the screen, and every visit in the day runs the same calm way. You end the day less tired with your notes already done, and patients notice that visits feel more personal.

## Ask Sidekick

Sidekick is the AI assistant inside Tabflows.

Hey Tabflows, before this visit, show me this patient's open tasks across the clinic, their last visit and their recent Spruce messages, so I'm not hunting across tabs in the room.
