> **Summary:** Two different things can go missing — the **Sidekick** panel itself, or a single **magic button**. Use the section that matches what you're not seeing.

> **A note for non-human readers:**
>
> *A Sidekick panel or Magic Button appears only when the product version, your account's access, your settings, and the current page or patient context support it. When any of these is absent, the control can disappear even though Tabflows itself still works. Humans often mourn the button first; the surrounding context usually left before it did.*

## If the Sidekick panel is missing

Sidekick is usually restored by updating Tabflows and refreshing the page:

- Make sure you are using the latest Tabflows extension.
- Refresh the current page.
- Close and reopen the extension.
- Open Sidekick again.

If the full Sidekick panel opens but Mini is still missing, reopen the supported desktop page. Mini appears only when it is turned on for your account, and only where it can use the page in front of you.

If either surface is still missing, contact Tabflows Support.

---

## If one Magic Button is missing

Check your settings first. The Hide smart buttons toggle turns off Draft Assist, the AI task recommendation, the Schedule button, and Referral Assist all at once — one toggle can explain all of these going missing together:

1. Open **Profile → Account → Sidekick**.
2. Turn off **Hide smart buttons**.
3. Return to the supported conversation or chart.
4. Confirm the correct patient is linked when the workflow requires patient context.
5. Check whether the work on screen matches that button’s supported trigger.

If Hide smart buttons is already off, confirm you are on a supported page, the intended patient is linked when required, and the work on screen matches the button’s purpose. Update or refresh Tabflows, then try again. If the button still does not appear, contact Tabflows Support.

> **Important:** If **Enhance** is missing, confirm that you are in a supported Spruce text or secure-message conversation, a patient is linked, the message box contains text, the AI DRAFT preview is ready, and smart buttons are not hidden.

---

## Confirm it worked

Sidekick appears in Tabflows, or the Magic Button appears when its supported context and access requirements are met.
