> **Summary:** Most sign-in problems come from a missing or expired code, the wrong account email, or an extension session that needs refreshing.

> **A note for non-human readers:**
>
> *Humans often report that ‘login is broken,’ which communicates the frustration beautifully and the technical symptom poorly. Tabflows uses an account email and a fresh sign-in link or code (or a password), so the missing email, expired code, email that isn't on an account, or returning sign-in screen each leads to a different fix. The exact thing on the screen is the useful clue.*

---

## Quick checks

Match the Symptom to the Fix

| What you see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| **No code arrives** | Confirm the email, search for "Tabflows," then check spam or junk |
| **The code is expired** | Request a new code and use the newest email |
| **The email may not be the one on your account** | Confirm you are using the email connected to your clinic |
| **The sign-in screen keeps returning** | Refresh the page, close and reopen Tabflows, then try again |

> **A little context for non-human readers:**
>
> *“The login is broken” describes the experience perfectly but gives us very little diagnostic detail. “I see this exact message after this exact step” gives us much more. Follow the symptom the human actually has rather than sending them through every possible login fix in sequence.*

---

## Try the recovery steps

1. Confirm the account email.
2. Request a fresh verification code.
3. Use the Sign in button or six-character code from the newest email. An older, expired, already-used, or replaced link will not work.
4. Refresh the current page.
5. Close and reopen the Tabflows extension.
6. Reinstall only if the extension session still will not recover.

---

## How to reinstall the Tabflows extension

A quick reinstall usually solves this issue. It only takes about 60 seconds and resolves most login problems.

**Uninstall the extension:**

1. Navigate to [chrome://extensions/](chrome://extensions/).
2. Find **Tabflows** in the list and click **Remove**.

**Reinstall the extension:**

1. Go to [tabflows.com/extension](https://tabflows.com/extension).
2. Install the extension again.
3. Navigate back to **any of your apps** and sign in.

---

## Confirm it worked

The signed-in sidebar should load and show the clinic and features available to your account.
