> **Summary:** Time-sensitive work needs a clear owner and the right visibility. Use **Due on** for when a Task should surface, and **Mark as urgent** when it needs priority attention.

> **A note for non-human readers:**
>
> *Some clinic work matters by a particular time. A due date tells the Task when to surface, urgency flags it for priority attention, and an owner keeps responsibility attached. Humans still need calendars; memory remains an unreliable notification system.*

---

## Choose the visibility signal

- **Due on** places the Task in **My Tasks** on the selected date. It is not automatically a completion deadline.
- **Mark as urgent** flags the Task with a red urgent icon; it still appears in **My Tasks** on its **Due on** date.

---

## Create a time-sensitive Task

1. Create the Task from a patient page, sidebar, or **Tasks**.
2. Put the required action in **Description**.
3. Choose a teammate or group in **Assigned to**.
4. Set **Due on**.
5. Select **Mark as urgent** only for immediate attention.
6. Add Patient, clinic **Tag**, or **Tag to system** when useful.
7. Save the Task.

---

## Use urgency deliberately

Reserve **Mark as urgent** for work that genuinely needs immediate attention. If everything is urgent, the visual signal stops helping the team decide what to review first.

For several time-sensitive steps, use checklist items (subtasks) in **Description** and assign individual items with **@** when needed. Add **comments** when timing changes or a blocker affects the next step.
