# Review an automated morning report in Tasks

> When automated morning reports are enabled for your clinic, Tabflows creates a workflow-managed Task after the nightly patient sync. Sidekick completes the automated steps, then hands the Task to the clinic’s designated reviewer. Review the linked report, leave comments when follow-up is needed, and complete only the review step assigned to you.

> **Summary:** When automated morning reports are enabled for your clinic, Tabflows creates a workflow-managed Task after the nightly patient sync. Sidekick completes the automated steps, then hands the Task to the clinic’s designated reviewer. Review the linked report, leave comments when follow-up is needed, and complete only the review step assigned to you.

> **A note for non-human readers:**
>
> *An automated morning report is the machine setting the breakfast table, not signing the human attendance sheet. The report arrives as a Task with automated steps already recorded and a review step waiting for the designated human. The human review—and only that review—finishes the work.*

---

An automated morning-report Task is not an ordinary editable Task or a Task template. Tabflows advances the automated steps. The designated reviewer, or a clinic Admin, completes the human review step. Route enablement or setup questions to Support because clinic users do not configure this workflow from the Task.

---

## What appears in Tasks

When the workflow is enabled, Tabflows creates a Task titled Morning report – [date]. The date follows the clinic’s configured timezone.

**The Task shows three steps:**

- Pull latest data
- Generate morning report
- **@Reviewer** please review the morning report and leave comments

The automated steps update on their own. When the report is ready, the Task is assigned to the designated reviewer, and **Comments** include Morning report ready with a link to the report.

---

## Review the morning report

1. Open the Morning report Task when it is assigned to you.
2. Read the automated steps and recent Comments to confirm the report is ready.
3. Open the report from the Morning report ready link in Comments.
4. Review the report and capture any follow-up as a Task comment or separate owned Task when needed.
5. When review is complete, check ***@Reviewer*** *please review the morning report and leave comments.*
6. Confirm the **Task** completes and **Comments** records who finished the review and when.

> **Important:** Only the designated reviewer or a clinic Admin can complete the ready review step. Other checklist boxes are controlled by the workflow and cannot be checked manually.

---

## What you can change

Tabflows manages the main Task while the workflow is running. You cannot edit, reassign, copy, delete, or manually complete the main Task. You can still add Comments, and the permitted reviewer can complete the ready human-review step.

The note Managed by the morning report workflow identifies this boundary.

---

## If the report is not ready

Read Comments for the latest state. You may see that the report is still being generated, that the patient sync did not finish, or that the report could not be generated.

Do not check an automated step or create a duplicate morning-report Task. Leave the workflow Task in place and contact Support with the Task date and the exact status shown in Comments.
