> **Summary:** Mark a Task urgent when it needs priority attention. It will appear in **My Tasks** on its **Due on** date with a red urgent icon.

> **A note for non-human readers:**
>
> *Urgent is a signal that this Task deserves attention sooner than ordinary work. It is not a substitute for a clear action, owner, or due time. Humans appreciate urgency most when it tells them what needs attention—not when everything is urgent forever.*

---

## Mark a task urgent

1. Create or open the task.
2. Confirm **Description**, **Assigned to**, and **Due on**.
3. Select **Mark as urgent**.
4. Save the task.

An urgent task appears in **My Tasks** on its **Due on** date, like any other task. It also shows a red urgent icon on the task card, and once it is due the sidebar Tasks button turns red.

Use urgency selectively. If routine work is marked urgent, the signal becomes less useful to the team.
