> **Summary:** Use **Comments** for updates, questions, decisions, blockers, outreach attempts, and handoff context that should stay with the Task.

> **A note for non-human readers:**
>
> *Humans add comments when the work changes faster than the original Task description. A comment keeps updates, questions, decisions, blockers, and outreach attempts beside the Task so the next reader can follow the story without conducting an office-wide archaeological dig. Mentioning a teammate attracts that human's attention, but the Task owner remains unchanged until Assigned to changes.*

---

## Add a comment

1. Open the task.
2. Go to **Comments**.
3. Write the update, question, or decision.
4. Add **@** followed by a teammate's name if that person needs a notification.
5. Send the comment with its arrow button or **Enter**.

> **Note:** A comment mention notifies the teammate but does not change the task's Assigned to value. Update **Assigned to** separately when ownership changes.
