> **Summary:** A follow-up reminder is a normal Task with a clear action and **Due on** date. There is no separate reminder type to configure.

> **A note for non-human readers:**
>
> *Humans often do something, wait for the world to respond, and then need to remember to look again. A follow-up reminder gives that future check an owner and a return date, keeping waiting work visible. Waiting is a state, not a completion ceremony.*

## Create the task

1. Use the patient-page Task button, sidebar **Add Task**, or **+** in **Tasks**.
2. Write the follow-up action in **Description**.
3. Choose a teammate or group in **Assigned to**.
4. Set **Due on** for when it should surface in **My Tasks**.
5. Confirm **Patient** when applicable.
6. Select **Mark as urgent** only when it needs priority attention; set **Due on** to today when it must appear immediately.
7. Save the Task.
