# How to use Sidekick to create Hint charges > Use Sidekick to find synced Hint charge items, prepare one or more charge lines, review the total, and create the charges for the selected patient after you approve. Sidekick can prepare selected Hint items, quantities, amounts, date, and provider for a human to review, then create only the approved charge lines. This does not collect payment or send an invoice, and an uncertain result is checked before retrying because money is especially talented at noticing duplicates.* --- ## Before you start - Run the Tabflows Chrome extension. - Sign in to Hint. - Select a patient linked to Hint. - Sync the clinic's Hint charge items to Tabflows. --- ## Create the charge 1. Open Sidekick with the patient selected. 2. Ask to create a Hint charge and describe the item. 3. If several items match, choose the exact item. 4. Add charge lines or change quantities when needed. 5. Confirm the charge date; Sidekick uses today when no date is given. 6. Choose a provider, or continue without one when appropriate. 7. Review the patient, date, provider, selected lines, quantities, amounts, and total. 8. Untick any unwanted line, then approve. Sidekick creates only the selected lines and reports each result. --- ## Try : > - *Create a Hint charge for this patient for a B12 injection.* > - *Create Hint charges for this lab order — CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel, and lipid panel.* > - *Create a Hint charge for today’s office visit and attribute it to Dr. Alvarez.* > - *Create a Hint charge for two units of the compounded cream, dated last Friday.* > **Good to know:** A whole order can go on **one** card — name every item in a single ask and Sidekick prepares all the lines together for one review. Describing an item the way your catalogue names it (or by billing code) gives the cleanest match. --- ## If Sidekick cannot prepare the charge Sync missing charge items, link the patient, select the exact matching items or provider, or sign in to Hint — then retry. --- ## If the result is unconfirmed Check the patient's charges directly in Hint before retrying. Retrying without checking can create a duplicate. --- ## What this action changes It writes charge line items to Hint only after approval.
